Founded by Grand Master Ik-Hwan Kim, U.M.I. is an institute dedicated to the tutelage of not only traditional Tae Kwon Do, but also the art of Hap Ki Do.
As founder of U.M.I., Grand Master kim offeres a wealth of knowledge that can be gained only through his 40 years of experience in the field of Martial Arts.

Within these pages, you will discover the benefits of Martial Arts, gain a familiarity to U.M.I., and learn about the Grand Master himself.

UMI Hapkido/TaeKwonDo Seminar, Tashikent, Uzbekistan (10/26-10/30/11)

Universal Martial Arts Institute (UMI) founder Grandmaster Ik Hwan Kim will be hosting a Hapkido/TaeKwonDo Seminar in Tashikent, Uzbekistan during his visit between October 26 and October 30, 2011.

 
UMI Hapkido/TaeKwonDo Seminar, Yanji, China (10/17-10/19/11)

Universal Martial Arts Institute (UMI)'s founder Grandmaster Ik Hwan Kim will be giving a Hapkido/Taekwondo clinic during his visit to China from October 17 to 19, 2011.
Sparring Classes: new session begins 10/5/11 (Lafayette, NJ)

The new session of Sparring Classes will run from 10/5/11 to 10/26/11

every Wednesday at 5 pm.
TKD Promotion Test, UMI hdqtr (10/1/11 Sat)

TaeKwonDo promotion test at the Universal Martial Arts Headquarters at Lafayette, NJ.

Full uniform and sparring gear required.
UMI Hapkido Seminar, Cincinnati, OH (9/24/11 Sat)

Our next Hapkido seminar (presented in person by Grandmaster Ik Hwan Kim) will be held in Cincinnati, OH hosted by Master Mark Stacy on September 24, 2011.

Choose either day or evening classes.
